Parrish's rehab assignment hits snag

KANSAS CITY -- Royals left-hander John Parrish encountered an apparent setback during his injury rehabilitation assignment with Triple-A Omaha.

He was removed from a game on Sunday and will be examined by Royals physicians in Kansas City. He pitched two innings in three games for Omaha, giving up two runs.

Parrish has been on the disabled list, retroactive to April 25, because of left shoulder inflammation. In nine games for the Royals, he was 1-1 with a 3.00 ERA.
