Getz still unavailable after concussion
KANSAS CITY -- Second baseman Chris Getz is still not available to the Royals because of a concussion he suffered in Sunday's game in Chicago.
Manager Ned Yost explained that Getz underwent tests on Thursday's off-day, checking his heart rate while riding a bike and having his head bob up and down while on an elliptical machine.
"He did fine on the bike when he got his heart rate up but when he got on the elliptical, he started getting that fogginess thing again," Yost said. "So we're going to lay off him today and put him back on tomorrow, and see where he's at. But he's making progress."
Getz was struck in the back of the head by a thrown ball while stealing second base.
