Rockies at the plate: Alexis Gomez collected two singles. Chris Iannetta went 3-for-4 with a double. Jeff Baker slammed a solo homer in the ninth inning.

Royals at the plate: Mark Teahen hit a two-run homer, his second of Spring Training, in the third inning. He singled and walked in his other plate appearances. Alex Gordon went 2-for-3 with a triple and scored a run in the fourth. John Buck also tripled.

Rockies on the mound: Rodrigo Lopez gave up three runs on six hits, including Teahen's home run, in five innings -- his longest outing of the season. He walked one, struck out three and had a wild pitch. Matt Herges pitched a scoreless inning, walking one.

Royals on the mound: Zack Greinke had his best outing, throwing four scoreless innings, allowing four hits, walking none and striking out six. Octavio Dotel worked a flawless fifth inning, striking out two.

Cactus League records: Rockies 8-6-1; Royals 7-8

Up next: Left-hander Jorge De La Rosa will start for the Royals on Thursday at 3:05 p.m. CT against the Giants at Surprise Stadium. Barry Zito will start for the Giants.

Jason Hirsh will start for the Rockies against the Athletics at Hi Corbett Field at 2:05 p.m. MT. Rich Harden will be the A's probable.
