Padres on the mound:
Clay Hensley wasn't as sharp as he's been in his previous starts, allowing four runs (two earned) on six hits with four walks in five innings, though his ERA climbed to just 2.00 for the spring. Righty Kevin Cameron continued to impress. He tossed two scoreless innings, allowing one hit with one walk. Reliever Andrew Brown allowed a run on three hits in an inning. His spring ERA stands at 13.50. Justin Hampson tossed a scoreless eighth inning, his first action since March 11.
Royals on the mound:
Starting pitcher Brandon Duckworth allowed two runs on seven hits with two walks and two strikeouts. He even added a single in the fourth inning. Jimmy Gobble threw 1 2/3 scoreless innings as did Ryan Braun. Todd Wellemeyer went 1 1/3 innings without allowing a run.

The Padres will visit the Rangers in Surprise on Tuesday. Greg Maddux makes the start for San Diego. The Royals are in Mesa against the Cubs. Jorge De La Rosa will start for Kansas City.
