Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha staged a five-run rally in the ninth to win at New Orleans. The first seven batters in the inning reached, with Joaquin Arias scoring the go-ahead run on David Lough's sacrifice fly. Mike Aviles was 2-for-4 with a walk, extending his hitting streak to 13 games (.373, 19-for-51). Starter Vin Mazzaro fanned eight while allowing five runs on 11 hits and a walk over 6.2 IP.

NW Arkansas Naturals

NW Arkansas 7, Corpus Christi 6

Salvador Perez singled home Nick Francis in the ninth as Northwest Arkansas won the rubber game vs. Corpus Christi. The Naturals rallied from a 5-1 deficit as they scored in each of their final four turns at bat. Chris Dwyer yielded five runs on six hits and five walks over 4.1 innings. Blaine Hardy excelled in his first outing since being transferred from Omaha. The lefty held the Hooks scoreless over 2.2 innings, allowing a walk and no hits.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Potomac 12, Wilmington 3

Wilmington dropped to .500 on the year with a loss in the finale at Potomac. Starter Tyler Sample was roughed up for 10 runs (six earned) on five hits and three walks over 1.2 innings. John Whittleman hit his third home run in as many games for the Blue Rocks. Winnetonka High grad Nick Van Stratten was 3-for-4. Tim Ferguson, Gerard Hall and Ryan Stovall added two hits apiece.

Kane County Cougars

Quad Cities 10, Kane County 3

Kane County missed a chance for a three-game sweep as they lost a matinee at home. Jason Adam allowed four runs (three earned) on six hits and two walks over 5.0 IP+2. Orlando Calixte, Cheslor Cuthbert and Kevin David had two hits apiece. Calixte's solo shot in the second was his first home run as a professional. David, a catcher and Oklahoma State product, played in his first game for Kane County after eight games with Surprise.

Idaho Falls Chukars

Idaho Falls 9, Casper 8

HR: Daniel Mateo (1)

Daniel Mateo capped a dramatic comeback with a two-run homer in the eighth as Idaho Falls defeated Casper. The Ghosts broke open a 1-1 game with seven runs in the fifth. Idaho Falls rallied with five in the seventh and three in the eighth. Darian Sandford upped his average to .365 with a 4-for-5 night.

Burlington Royals

Princeton 10, Burlington 8

HR: Murray Watts 2 (7, 8)

Burlington let an early 6-0 lead slip away in a loss to Princeton. Starter Eric Cantrell limited the Rays to a run on two hits and four walks over 4.0 innings. Murray Watts swatted a pair of solo home runs for Burlington. Justin Trapp was 4-for-5 with three RBI, finishing a triple shy of the cycle. Princeton's Cam Seitzer, son of Kevin, was also a triple from the cycle as he went 3-for-4 with four RBI.

Surprise Royals

Surprise 7, Arizona Reds 6

HR: Nick DelGuidice (3)

Gabriel Gray's sac fly in the ninth plated Carlos Garcia as the Royals won a walk-off in Surprise. The winning run came after Surprise had squandered a 6-2 lead. Nick DelGuidice continued his hot hitting, going 4-for-4 with four RBI. He put Surprise on the board with a three-run blast in the second and is batting .444 (20-for-45) overall.
