Myers, three others in PCL All-Star Game

KANSAS CITY -- The Royals will be well represented at the Triple-A All-Star Game.

The Pacific Coast League announced its list of All-Stars on Thursday and four members of the Omaha Storm Chasers were selected: outfielder Wil Myers -- who was named a starter -- first baseman Clint Robinson, pitcher Tommy Hottovy and pitcher Ryan Verdugo.

Myers, who was also named to the roster of the U.S. team in the upcoming Sirius XM Futures Game during All-Star Weekend in Kansas City, has been on an offensive hot streak all season long. He started the season at Double-A Northwest Arkansas and was promoted to Omaha in mid-May. Combined, he's hit .325 with 19 doubles, 25 home runs and 65 RBIs.

Robinson has appeared in 71 games for the Storm Chasers, posting a .313 batting average and hitting 10 home runs. Hottovy has a 1.69 ERA in 20 games with Omaha, and Verdugo is 5-2 with a 3.65 ERA in 14 starts. All three have been on the Royals' roster at one point this season.

The Triple-A All-Star Game will be played July 11 at Coca-Cola Field in Buffalo, N.Y. The Pacific Coast League All-Stars will battle the International League All-Stars, and the game will be televised live on MLB Network at 6 p.m. CT.
