Ceremony for Toma rescheduled for Sept. 21
KANSAS CITY -- The Royals Hall of Fame enshrinement ceremony for legendary groundskeeper George Toma has been rescheduled for Friday, Sept. 21.
The ceremony, originally scheduled for Aug. 31, was cancelled due to heavy rains. That night's game between the Royals and Twins was also rained out.
Toma will be enshrined as the 25th member of the Royals Hall of Fame before the Royals take on the Indians at 7:10 p.m. CT.
