Homestand Highlights: October 1-3

KANSAS CITY, MO (September 27, 2012) – The Kansas City Royals finish the 2012 season by hosting the Detroit Tigers in a three-game series, October 1-3. 

All fans visiting Kauffman Stadium to cheer on the Boys in Blue against the American League Central leaders will receive a 2013 Early Bird Schedule and 2012 Team Photo.  Royals Charities will also host special 50/50 Raffles throughout the club’s final homestand.  In addition, the Royals host the last INK Student Night and Local Music Showcase of 2012 prior to the season finale in the Outfield Experience. 

Monday, October 1 – Detroit Tigers vs. Royals, 7:10 p.m.

  • Royals 2013 Early Bird Schedule & 2012 Team Photo – All fans in attendance receive a 2013 early bird team schedule plus a 2012 team photo courtesy of Pittcraft Printing.
  • Value Monday – All Hy-Vee Level tickets (excluding Hy-Vee Box) are just $7.  www.royals.com/fanvalue
  • Royals Charities 50/50 Raffle – Royals Charities will host special 50/50 Raffles throughout the Tigers series!  Volunteers sell raffle tickets from the time the gates open until the end of the fourth inning.  One winning ticket will be selected with the winner taking home half of the evening’s net proceeds.  The other half will go to Royals Charities.  www.royals.com/5050.

  • INK Student Night – Rivals Outfield Box or Hy-Vee Infield tickets are available for all Wednesday home games for high school and college students with valid ID at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office for just $7.  Seating is subject to availability.  All Student Nights include a $7 hot dog and beverage special at the Boulevard Grill in the Outfield Experience. 
  • INK Local Music Showcase – Catch a free pregame concert on us.  Every Wednesday INK Student Night also features live local music prior to the game in the Outfield Experience.  The Barclay Martin Ensemble will be performing prior to the Tigers-Royals game.  For details, visit www.royals.com/studentnight.

Royals and 610 Sports Radio Team Up for “Royals Charities presents Royals Weekly” Radio Show

The final “Royals Charities presents Royals Weekly” radio program of the season will air Sunday morning at 6 a.m. on 610 Sports Radio, the flagship station of the Royals.  The one-hour show highlights the club’s community outreach efforts and provides a season-long radio tour of the Royals Hall of Fame.  The show will return to the 610 Sports Sunday lineup next season at a time to be announced.
