KANSAS CITY, MO – The Kansas City Royals today announced Kia as the naming rights partner of the Diamond Club at Kauffman Stadium. Beginning with the 2013 season, the exclusive area will be known as the Kia Diamond Club.
“Expanding Kia’s partnership with a highly regarded organization like the Royals provides Kia with the opportunity to reach fans of the game of baseball and showcase our products,” said Mike Helgesen, regional director, Kia Motors America.
The Kia Diamond Club is located behind home plate on the Field/Plaza Level of Kauffman Stadium. The three-tiered dining space features baseball-themed décor and floor-to-ceiling retractable windows, which provide guests with a relaxed, unobstructed view of the game. From made-to-order grilled items and wood-fired pizza, the club offers a variety of options, including different seating options, as fans can choose to sit in the club lounge, stadium seats or a Kia Diamond Club Box.
“We are excited to have Kia as the new naming rights partner of the Diamond Club,” said Michael Bucek, Royals Vice President, Marketing & Business Development. “The Kia Diamond Club provides one of the most spectacular views within Kauffman Stadium, and I’m sure our fans will enjoy all the amenities the club offers.”
Kia became a corporate partner of the Royals in 2012. Tickets to the Kia Diamond Club may be purchased as a full season package or on a single-game basis.
