Omaha Storm Chasers

The Storm Chasers slugged their way to a win at Round Rock. Xavier Nady and Adam Moore provided two-run homers, with Anthony Seratelli adding a late solo shot. Starter Nate Adcock allowed two runs (one earned) over 4.0 innings. Everett Teaford (2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 1 SO) picked up the relief win. The road trip continues on Monday at Albuquerque (Dodgers).

NW Arkansas Naturals

Frisco 3, NW Arkansas 2

HR: None

Northwest Arkansas dropped the series opener against Frisco. Yordano Ventura made his 2013 debut, yielding two runs on five hits over 5.0 innings. Frisco plated the go-ahead run in the sixth off of Santiago Garrido (3.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER). Angel Franco and Yem Prades each recorded two hits plus an RBI for the Naturals. Former KC farmhand Kevin Pucetas picked up the win for Frisco.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Wilmington 7, Myrtle Beach 2
WP: Antonio Cruz (1-0)
HR: None

Wilmington jumped to a 7-0 lead in a road win. Lane Adams tripled home a run in the first and finished a homer from the cycle. Jorge Bonifacio was 2-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBI and two runs. Kyle Smith, KC's fourth-round pick in 2011, fanned seven while scattering four hits and three walks over 4.1 scoreless innings. Antonio Cruz followed with 2.2 shutout frames.

Lexington 5, Augusta 2

SV: Daniel Hernandez (1)
HR: None

Lexington won for the first time as a Royals affiliate. Colin Rodgers held Augusta to two unearned runs over 5.0 innings while Clayton Schulz and Daniel Hernandez worked 2.0 frames each. Michael Antonio went 2-for-4 with three RBI. Cam Gallagher recorded three hits.
