Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha 8, Albuquerque 7 (10 innings)
WP: Dan Wheeler (1-0)
HR: Xavier Nady (2), Christian Colon (1), Max Ramirez (1)

Omaha scored four in the top of the 10th and held on at Albuquerque. Xavier Nady knotted the game at 1-1 with a solo blast in the fourth. Christian Colon hit a two-run shot in the fifth and Max Ramirez delivered a three-run homer in the 10th. Brian Sanches scattered two runs on four hits over 5.0 innings. Dan Wheeler (2.0 IP, 2 H) earned the relief win.

NW Arkansas Naturals

Frisco 4, NW Arkansas 3
LP: J.C. Sulbaran (0-1)
HR: Brian Fletcher (2)

Northwest Arkansas suffered a narrow defeat at home. J.C. Sulbaran allowed four runs on five hits and two walks over 4.2 innings. Cole White followed by striking out three over 2.0 scoreless frames. Brian Fletcher hit a two-run homer for the Naturals while Rey Navarro was 2-for-4 with a run scored.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Wilmington 7, Carolina 6
WP: Cody Fassold (1-1)
HR: Danny Mateo (1), Kenny Diekroeger (1)

Wilmington withstood a late Carolina rally to take the series opener. Danny Mateo and Kenny Diekroeger hit back-to-back solo shots in the sixth, extending the Wilmington lead to 7-2. Mateo finished 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. Diekroeger had three hits and two runs. Starter Angel Baez held the Mudcats to a run on two hits and four walks over 4.0 innings. Cody Fassold (3.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 3 SO) picked up the relief win.

Lexington Legends

Lexington 4, Asheville 3
WP: Alec Mills (1-0)
SV: Mark Peterson (1)
HR: Jin-Ho Shin (1), Fred Ford (1)

Fred Ford's homer in the seventh broke a 3-3 tie as Lexington won its home opener. Jin-Ho Shin tied the game with a two-run blast in the fourth. Adalberto Mondesi recorded three hits and an RBI. Starter Daniel Stumpf was charged with three unearned runs over 5.0 innings.
