Omaha at Albuquerque - Postponed

Tuesday's contest in New Mexico was postponed due to rain and cold weather. A pair of seven-inning games are slated for tonight beginning at 5:05 Central. Will Smith is the probable starter for the first game, with Chris Dwyer set to start the nightcap.

NW Arkansas Naturals

NW Arkansas 3, Frisco 2
WP: Noel Arguelles (1-1)
SV: Brooks Pounders (1)
HR: Matt Fields (1)

Noel Arguelles led the Naturals to their first win of 2013. The lefty scattered two runs on four hits and no walks over 7.0 innings. Brooks Pounders fired 2.0 shutout frames for the save. Northwest Arkansas plated two in the second. Matt Fields added a solo homer in the fourth. Angel Franco posted three hits and is batting .412 (7-for-17).

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Wilmington 5, Carolina 1
WP: Sam Selman (1-0)
SV: Robinson Yambati (1)
HR: Tim Ferguson (1)

Sam Selman's 5.0 shutout innings propelled Wilmington to the road win. The lefty, KC's second-round pick in 2012, limited Carolina to one hit and two walks in his 2013 debut. Tim Ferguson started the scoring with a solo shot in the second. Jorge Bonifacio and Cheslor Cuthbert added two hits and two RBI apiece. The series wrapped up with a morning start today.

Lexington Legends

Asheville 4, Lexington 3 (13 innings)
LP: Cory Hall (0-1)
HR: None

The Legends rallied with three in the eighth, though they ultimately lost in 13 innings. Michael Antonio led the offense with three hits. Yowill Espinal, Fred Ford and Cam Gallagher added two hits apiece. Scott Alexander held Asheville to a walk and no hits over 4.0 innings of relief. The series concluded with a morning start today.
