Omaha moved into first place in the division with a pair of 6-3 wins on Wednesday. Will Smith (5.0 IP, 6 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 4 SO) picked up the win in game one. Louis Coleman tossed 2.0 scoreless innings for the save. Christian Colon finished 3-for-4 with an RBI. Chris Dwyer worked around a pair of solo homers in game two, yielding two runs over 6.0 innings. David Lough recorded two hits and two RBI in the nightcap to finish the doubleheader with four safeties.

NW Arkansas Naturals

Wednesday was a travel day for the Naturals. They open a set at Midland (Athletics) tonight.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Wilmington settled for two of three at Carolina. The Mudcats broke open a 1-1 game with six in the fifth. Justin Trapp recorded three hits and an RBI for the Blue Rocks. Wilmington is off tonight before starting the home slate on Friday against Frederick (Orioles).

Lexington lost the rubber game at home to Asheville. Bryan Brickhouse (5.0 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER) allowed his first earned runs of the season. Cam Gallagher posted two hits, boosting his average to .391 (9-for-23). Lexington starts a series against Greenville (Red Sox) tonight.
