Xavier Nady's homer in the seventh broke a 2-2 tie as Omaha won three of four vs. Nashville. Johnny Giavotella recorded two hits and two RBI, including a game-tying solo homer in the fourth. Chris Dwyer held the Sounds to two runs on six hits and three walks over 7.0 innings. He fanned seven and lowered his season ERA to 3.00 (6 ER in 18.0 IP).

NW Arkansas Naturals

Frisco 10, NW Arkansas 3

HR: Brett Eibner (1)

Northwest Arkansas fell to 0-2 at Frisco as the RoughRiders broke open a 3-3 game with a six-run seventh. Starter Noel Arguelles yielded three runs on eight hits and two walks over 5.1 innings. Brett Eibner showed signs of breaking out of an early slump, going 3-for-4 with his first Double-A home run. Rey Navarro added two hits, boosting his average to .353 (12-for-34).

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Wilmington 4, Carolina 3
WP: Antonio Cruz (2-0)
SV: Andrew Triggs (1)
HR: Kenny Diekroeger (2)

Wilmington used a three-run seventh to win the series opener vs. Carolina. Lane Adams doubled home the tying and go-ahead tallies. Kenny Diekroeger put Wilmington on the board with a solo shot in the fourth. Starter Angel Baez (4.1 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 4 BB, 4 SO) held Carolina scoreless until the fifth.

Lexington Legends

Augusta 7, Lexington 3
LP: Aroni Nina (0-1)
HR: None

Lexington lost the series opener as Augusta put up three runs in both the fifth and sixth. Aroni Nina permitted four runs, four hits and four walks over 4.0 IP+3. Terrance Gore posted two hits and a run for the Legends.
