DeJesus returns to lineup for Royals

MINNEAPOLIS -- Left fielder David DeJesus returns to Kansas City's lineup Friday night at the Metrodome against the Twins. He was out of the Royals' starting lineup for consecutive games because of lower back stiffness.

DeJesus will bat second. Right-hander Kevin Slowey starts for the Twins.

DeJesus said previously that he had not had an MRI or any other tests but that he had undergone heat treatment.

DeJesus last played on Wednesday against Toronto, when he entered the game in the eighth inning to play right field. He did not bat.
