Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha dropped the first of four at Nashville. The Sounds built an 11-0 lead, capped by a grand slam in the seventh. Omaha scored three in the eighth and two in the ninth. David Lough led Omaha with three hits and two runs. Xavier Nady drove in three, giving him 10 RBIs on the year. Chris Dwyer (2-1, 3.00 ERA) will toe the rubber Sunday afternoon for Omaha.

NW Arkansas Naturals

NW Arkansas 5, Tulsa 2

The Naturals moved to 2-1 in a four-game set vs. Tulsa. Justin Marks made his season debut, limiting the Drillers to two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over 5 2/3 innings. Rey Navarro doubled home a pair in the third. He added a second two-base hit, raising his average to .311 (14-for-45). Angel Franco added two hits, an RBI and a run. He is batting .391 (18-for-46).

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Winston-Salem 5, Wilmington 0 (Game 2 -- seven innings)

Wilmington fell short in both halves of a doubleheader at Winston-Salem. John Lamb yielded two runs on eight hits over four innings in Game 1. Game 2 starter Kyle Smith (five innings, six hits, two earned runs, two walks, seven strikeouts) allowed his first runs of 2013 (13 1/3 innings).

Adalberto Mondesi's RBI double in the third held up as Lexington edged Greenville. Mondesi, 17, leads the Legends with 13 RBIs. Daniel Stumpf scattered two hits and four walks over 5 1/3 innings. Alec Mills worked the final 3 2/3 frames, fanning six while holding the Drive to one hit.
