Omaha Storm Chasers

Omaha 8, Nashville 3

Chris Dwyer's strong outing led Omaha to the road win. The lefty took a shutout into the seventh, holding Nashville to a run on five hits and three walks over 6.2 innings. David Lough was a triple shy of the cycle as he finished 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs. Johnny Giavotella and Brett Hayes added three hits apiece.

NW Arkansas Naturals

Tulsa 8, NW Arkansas 2

The Naturals settled for a 2-2 series split vs. Tulsa. Starter Noel Arguelles allowed five runs on six hits and four walks over 3.2 innings. Santiago Garrido stranded three inherited runners and went on to hold Tulsa to a run over 3.1 innings. Orlando Calixte and Rey Navarro had two hits apiece for Northwest Arkansas. The Naturals are at Springfield (Cardinals) on Monday.

Wilmington Blue Rocks

Wilmington 5, Winston-Salem 3

Wilmington avoided a sweep in a four-game set at Winston-Salem. Justin Trapp led off the game with his first home run of 2013. Wilmington took the lead for good with a three-run third. Lane Adams doubled home Jorge Bonifacio, then scored on a two-run double by Tim Ferguson. Cheslor Cuthbert drove in an insurance run in the seventh. Adams, Bonifacio, Cuthbert and Trapp recorded two hits each.

Lexington Legends

Lexington 6, Greenville 3

HR: Bubba Starling (2)

Lexington completed a four-game sweep of Greenville. The Drive plated three runs in the first, snapping a 26-inning scoreless stretch by Lexington pitchers. Bubba Starling cut the deficit to 3-1 with a home run in the bottom half of the first. Lexington tied the game in the fifth and moved ahead on a wild pitch in the sixth. Adalberto Mondesi singled home two runs in the eighth. Ali Williams retired all nine batters that he faced in relief, including the first seven on strikeouts.
