Sunday's Royals game sets all-time ratings record on FOX Sports Kansas City


Another week, another ratings milestone for the Royals on FOX Sports Kansas City.

Game 1 of Sunday's doubleheader vs. Cleveland was the highest-rated Royals telecast ever on FOX Sports Kansas City. It averaged a 7.9 household rating (73,000 households) in the Kansas City DMA, according to Nielsen Media Research.
Royals telecasts on FOX Sports Kansas City are averaging a 5.7 household rating through 20 games, up 35 percent over last season.

Saturday's win was the fourth highest-rated game on FOX Sports Kansas City. It averaged a 7.3 rating (68,000 households), peaking at a 9.6 (89,000 households) in the 9th inning. It was the highest-rated TV program of the day in Kansas City.

FOX Sports Kansas City has televised an estimated 900 Royals games in 11-plus seasons (1997-2002; 2008-13).

The Royals continue their homestand tonight vs. Cleveland, Tuesday-Thursday vs. Tampa Bay and Friday-Sunday vs. Chicago. All seven games will be televised on FOX Sports Kansas City.
