The Storm Chasers lost on a cold night at Werner Park. Memphis broke a 1-1 tie in the eighth, then added insurance in the ninth. Will Smith held the Redbirds to an unearned run on two hits and four walks over 6.0 innings. Christian Colon singled home Irving Falu for the lone Omaha run. Chris Dwyer (3-1, 2.56 ERA) is scheduled to start tonight.

NW Arkansas Naturals (9-17)

Springfield at NW Arkansas - Postponed

The Naturals were postponed for a second straight night. Friday's contest will be made up as part of a doubleheader on June 15.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (13-15)

Wilmington 1, Lynchburg 0
WP: Spencer Patton (3-0)
HR: None

Aaron Brooks (6.0 IP, 2 H, 1 BB, 5 SO) and Spencer Patton (3.0 IP, 1 H, 1 BB, 5 SO) combined on Wilmington's first shutout of 2013. Patton, a 24th-round pick in 2011, is now 3-0 with a 1.71 ERA and 32 strikeouts over 21.0 innings. The Blue Rocks were held without a hit until Geulin Beltre opened the eighth with a single. Lane Adams pinch ran for Beltre and scored on a Kenny Diekroeger single.

Lexington Legends (12-16)

Lexington 6, Delmarva 3
WP: Colin Rodgers (2-1)
SV: Clayton Schulz (2)
HR: None

The Legends earned a road sweep as they broke open a scoreless game with a six-run sixth. Bubba Starling's two-run single capped the scoring. He has hit in six straight at a .360 clip (9-for-25). Colin Rodgers, last year's third round selection, gave up two hits and an unearned run in 5.2 innings for his second win.
