Omaha scored a season-high 14 runs in a rout of Colorado Springs. Every Storm Chaser recorded at least one hit, with eight players driving in a run. David Lough, Xavier Nady, Paulo Orlando and Willy Taveras had three hits apiece. Anthony Seratelli added two hits, an RBI, three runs and two stolen bases, including a steal of home. Verdugo (7 2/3 IP, 6 H, 4 R, 3 ER) picked up the win, with his former LSU teammate Coleman notching the save.

Northwest Arkansas lost a road contest, as the Cardinals scored in each of the first four innings. Arguelles allowed six runs on four hits and eight walks over two-plus innings. Former Missouri State hurler Buddy Baumann tossed three scoreless innings in his season debut. Hernandez posted two hits, including a two-run homer in the fourth. Manuel Pina added a single and two RBIs. The Naturals are at Arkansas (Angels) Monday night.

Wilmington built an early 5-0 lead en route to a third straight win over Frederick. Cheslor Cuthbert doubled three times, driving in two. Justin Trapp added two hits and three RBIs. 2011 fourth-round pick Smith held the Keys to a run on five hits and a walk over six innings. Smith has a 1.93 ERA and 38 strikeouts through 37 1/3 innings. The Blue Rocks can complete a four-game sweep Monday.
