Omaha lost the completion of a suspended game and a seven-inning contest at New Orleans. Local product Johnny Giavotella was 2-for-4 with a solo homer in Game 1. Xavier Nady and Irving Falu added two hits apiece. Falu entered the game in place of Brandon Wood, who started on May 1 and was later traded to the Orioles' organization. Willy Taveras doubled home two runs in the second game. Kelvin Herrera made his first appearance since being optioned, allowing an inherited run on a hit and a walk over two-thirds of an inning.

NW Arkansas Naturals (14-31)

Northwest Arkansas at San Antonio

Rain postponed the series opener between Northwest Arkansas and San Antonio. A pair of seven-inning games are on tap for Sunday, with Danny Duffy toeing the rubber in Game 1. Duffy will be making his first appearance in game action since undergoing Tommy John surgery last June 13.

The Blue Rocks moved to .500 with a doubleheader sweep at Myrtle Beach, as 2011 fourth-rounder Kyle Smith won the opener, holding the Pelicans to three unearned runs on five hits and no walks over six innings. Justin Trapp was 3-for-5 with an RBI and two runs in Game 1. In Game 2, 2012 second-rounder Sam Selman (5.0 IP, 2 H, 1 ER, 2 BB, 6 SO) earned the win.

Lexington Legends (25-24)

WP: Bryan Brickhouse (3-3)
HR: None

Lexington turned the tables after being shut out the previous two nights. Bryan Brickhouse scattered three hits and three walks over seven scoreless innings. A third-round pick in 2011, Brickhouse has a 2.13 ERA through 50 2/3 innings (12 ER). Mark Donato went 4-for-4 with a walk while Bubba Starling had a hit, an RBI, two walks and two runs.
