KANSAS CITY -- A follow-up report on left-hander Danny Duffy's first Minor League rehabilitation start in his return from June Tommy John surgery was positive on Monday.
Duffy threw three shutout innings for Double-A Northwest Arkansas, and the report was that his fastball had good life, his location was decent and he competed well. He gave up two hits and two walks with four strikeouts, throwing 63 pitches.
"He threw good, got a little tired in the third inning, which is normal, but threw the ball very well," manager Ned Yost said. "Everybody was happy."
