Royals shatter FOX Sports Kansas City ratings record for second night in a row


Tuesday's Royals game set a new all-time ratings record for Royals baseball on FOX Sports Kansas City, topping the previous high set Monday night.

The Royals 3-2 loss to Detroit averaged an 8.8 household rating in the Kansas City DMA. It peaked at 11.2 (104,000 households) from 8:30 to 8:45 p.m.

Tigers-Royals was the highest-rated program in prime time in Kansas City for the second night in a row, topping TV's most-watch show, NCIS (8.4), and beating Game 3 of the NBA Finals (6.1) by 45 percent.

Royals telecasts on FOX Sports Kansas City are averaging a 5.6, up 40 percent vs. last season.
