The Storm Chasers dropped to 0-2 vs. Iowa. Omaha's pitching staff worked out of several jams, stranding runners in each of the first eight innings. Johnny Giavotella was 2-for-4 with a run scored, extending his hitting streak to 10 games (.472, 17-for-36). Paulo Orlando doubled and tripled for his fourth straight multihit game.
NW Arkansas Naturals (6-3 2nd half, 31-48 overall)
NW Arkansas 7, Midland 3

Northwest Arkansas rallied with five in the eighth to complete a sweep of Midland. Rey Navarro's single tied the game at 3-3. Manuel Pina's groundout plated Yem Prades for the go-ahead tally and Whit Merrifield capped the rally with a three-run double. Fields took over the Texas League lead in homers with his 20th in the first. Starter Andy Ferguson allowed two runs, five hits and three walks over six innings.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (4-3 2nd half, 37-40 overall)
Wilmington's opener vs. Potomac was postponed due to rain. A doubleheader is scheduled for Saturday night, with the first seven-inning game starting at 5:05 p.m. ET. Kyle Zimmer will start the opener, with Tyler Sample taking the mound in the nightcap.

Lexington rallied with three in the ninth to even a four-game set at a game apiece. Mark Threlkeld's homer tied the game at 2. Fred Ford followed with a triple and Bubba Starling's sac fly was the difference. Starter Crawford Simmons took a shutout into the fifth, allowing two runs over 4 2/3 innings.
Idaho Falls Chukars (2-7)
Ogden 7, Idaho Falls 3
LP: Cody Reed (0-1)
Idaho Falls lost the opener of a four-game series. Ogden plated three in the third and four in the fourth, including six runs off of Cody Reed. Dominique Taylor, KC's 15th-round pick in this year's First-Year Player Draft, was 3-for-4 with an RBI. Fourth-rounder Zane Evans doubled twice and drove in a run.
Burlington Royals (5-4)
Bluefield 10, Burlington 9
LP: Cruz Guevara (0-1)
HR: Sam Bates (1)
Burlington battled back but fell short after Bluefield built a 9-1 lead. Sam Bates drove in three runs and finished a triple shy of the cycle. Alfredo Escalera posted three singles and three RBI. Ryan Mattes struck out five over three perfect innings of relief.
Surprise Royals (3-5)
Arizona Dodgers 6, Surprise 5 (12 innings)
LP: Alex Black (1-1)
Surprise lost a second straight extra-inning game to the Dodgers. Lee's Summit North product Brandon Dulin followed his homer on Thursday with a four-hit night. He doubled twice, walked and drove in three runs. Tripp Davis threw three scoreless innings in relief.
