Omaha dropped to 1-1 in the series as Round Rock scored two in the eighth. Starter Danny Duffy allowed four runs and six hits without a walk over 5.1 innings. Donnie Joseph fanned three over 1.2 perfect innings of relief. Max Ramirez was 2-for-5 with two RBI and a run. Ben Broussard made his Omaha debut, finishing 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored.

Northwest Arkansas fell behind early and lost the rubber game at Midland. Starter Jason Adam allowed eight runs (six earned), six hits and seven walks over 5.0 innings. Sam Runion tossed 3.0 scoreless innings, walking three. Rey Navarro posted three hits and an RBI. Orlando Calixte doubled twice and scored a run, finishing the series 6-for-15 with two RBI and four runs.
Wilmington Blue Rocks (8-6 2nd half, 41-43 overall)

Lane Adams dashed home on a Jack Lopez bunt single in the 11th as Wilmington moved to 1-1 at Potomac. Lopez recorded three hits, two walks, two runs and an RBI. Jared Schlehuber added three hits, a walk, two runs and an RBI. Wilmington held the Nationals scoreless after the fourth. John Lamb (2.0 IP, 1 H, 1 ER) made his first start since June 8. Malcom Culver recorded 3.0 shutout stanzas and Andrew Trigg fanned five over 2.0 perfect innings.

Idaho Falls committed seven errors, leading to nine unearned runs in a home loss. Carlos Garcia posted three hits (two doubles), an RBI and two runs. Humberto Arteaga and Elier Hernandez added two RBI apiece.

Burlington snapped a seven-game losing streak with a doubleheader sweep of Princeton. Matt Tenuta held the Rays to a run over 5.2 innings in game one. Burlington scored three in the first, including a two-run double by Mauricio Ramos. Pedro Gonzalez capped the scoring with a two-run homer in the sixth. Bobby Brown hit a walk-off homer in game two. Ramos added two doubles, two runs and an RBI.

Surprise scored twice in the eighth before falling short at Tempe Diablo Stadium. Jorge Bonifacio tripled twice, drove in two and scored two runs. He is batting .346 (9-for-26) during his rehab assignment. Samir Duenez finished 3-for-4 with two runs, boosting his average to .347 (17-for-49).
