Omaha Storm Chasers (41-51)

Memphis 2, Omaha 1

HR: Brett Hayes (10)

A run in the sixth dropped Omaha to 1-1 at Memphis. Chris Dwyer pitched well in defeat, yielding two runs, six hits and a walk over 6.0 innings. Kelvin Herrera retired all six batters he faced, including three strikeouts. Brett Hayes gave Omaha a 1-0 lead with a homer in the second. Danny Duffy will start tonight against Michael Wacha.

NW Arkansas Naturals (10-8 2nd half, 35-53 overall)

The Naturals were off on Tuesday after traveling back from Texas. They host the Springfield Cardinals tonight.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (11-7 2nd half, 44-44 overall)

Wilmington 8, Frederick 1
WP: Kyle Zimmer (3-8)
HR: None

Kyle Zimmer recorded a career-high 13 strikeouts, leading Wilmington to a second straight win over Frederick. Zimmer, KC's first-round pick in 2012, held the Keys to a run on four hits and no walks over 6.0 innings. He retired his last 10 batters while Wilmington rallied from a 1-0 deficit, scoring three in the fourth and four in the fifth. Tyler Chism singled three times and drove in three. Parker Morin added two hits, three RBI and two runs.

Lexington Legends (11-6 2nd half, 44-41 overall)

Greensboro 7, Lexington 2
LP: Daniel Stumpf (6-7)
HR: None

Lexington could not hold on after scoring twice in the first, allowing seven runs over the final four innings. Daniel Stumpf was charged with three unearned runs over 6.0 stanzas in his first start since firing a 7.0 inning no-hitter last Tuesday. Kenny Diekroeger, Mark Donato and Alex Hudak recorded hits for the Legends.

Idaho Falls Chukars (6-13)

Helena 9, Idaho Falls 5
LP: Julio Rodriguez (0-2)
HR: Dominique Taylor (1)

Idaho Falls scored five in the second, then allowed nine unanswered runs in an opening loss at Helena. Starter Patrick Conroy worked 5.0 innings, yielding four unearned runs in the second. Dominique Taylor hit a three-run homer, his first as a professional. Taylor was KC's 15th-round pick last month.

Burlington Royals (11-7)

Burlington 5, Elizabethton 4
WP: Torey Deshazier (1-0)
SV: Andrew Edwards (3)
HR: None

Burlington earned a three-game road sweep while taking sole possession of first place in the East. Mauricio Ramos continued his hot hitting with two doubles, two RBI and a run. He's leading the league in batting average (.391, 25-for-64) and RBI (14).

Surprise Royals (6-10)

The Surprise Royals were off on Tuesday. They host the Arizona Reds tonight.
