The Kansas City Royals announced today that the club has agreed to terms on 2014 Major League contracts with left-handed pitcher Danny Duffy, infielder Johnny Giavotella and outfielder Carlos Peguero. Consistent with club policy, terms of the contracts were not disclosed. After today's signings, the Royals' entire 40-man roster is under contract for the 2014 season.

Duffy, 25, returned from Tommy John surgery last season, posting a 2-0 record and a 1.85 ERA in five starts with Kansas City. Giavotella, 26, spent a majority of the 2013 season with Triple-A Omaha, batting .286 with 24 doubles, 7 homers and 46 RBI in 100 games for the Storm Chasers. Peguero, was acquired from the Seattle Mariners on January 29; he ranked seventh in the Pacific Coast League with 19 homers and was selected to the Triple-A All-Star Game in 2013.
