Outfielder Cory Aldridge, who had 22 home runs and 71 RBIs in 98 games, was named Omaha's Player of the Year. Both are veterans; Aldridge is 30 and DiNardo turns 30 next week.
The top players in the Royals' Minor League system will be honored on Sept. 25 at Kauffman Stadium before a game against Minnesota. Other winners:
Northwest Arkansas (Double-A): Outfielder David Lough, 23, batted .331 with nine homers and 31 RBIs in 61 games. Reliever Ben Swaggerty, 27, was 4-1 with a 4.33 ERA and one save in 26 outings.
Wilmington (Class A Advanced): Third baseman Mike Moustakas, 21, second-overall choice in the 2007 Draft, had 16 homers, 86 RBIs and a .250 average. Reliever Brandon Sisk, 24, had 21 saves, a 1.92 ERA and a 1-3 record in 45 games.
Burlington, Iowa (Class A): Outfielder Nick Van Stratten, 24, had a .318 average, 38 RBIs and 15 steals in 69 games before his promotion to Wilmington. Lefty Mike Montgomery, 20, had a 2.17 ERA, a 2-3 record and held opponents to a .206 average before going to Wilmington.
Idaho Falls (Rookie Advanced): Infielder Deivy Batista, 21, is batting .270 with 13 homers and 55 RBIs. Lefty John Lamb, 19, is 3-1 with a 3.70 ERA in eight starts after being promoted from Burlington, N.C.
Burlington, N.C. (Class A): Outfielder Luis Del Rosario, 22, batted .268 with three homers, 17 RBIs and 19 stolen bases in 57 games before being promoted to Wilmington. Right-hander Greg Billo, 19, was 2-2 with a 1.81 ERA in 13 games and had 51 strikeouts in 54 2/3 innings.
Surprise (Rookie): Outfielder Alex Llanos, 18, batted .311 with three homers, 16 RBIs and 25 stolen bases in 31 games. Lefty Claudio Bavera, 22, was 4-0 with a 0.44 ERA and two saves in 15 appearances.
Dominican Royals (DSL): Catcher Rainier Bello, 17, hit .293 with eight doubles and 25 RBIs. Right-hander Jonathan Rodriguez, 20, was 3-1 with a 0.80 ERA and two saves in 17 games.
