Royals announce three roster moves Friday evening

SURPRISE, AZ (March 14, 2014) - The Kansas City Royals announced today that three players have been reassigned at Spring Training following this afternoon's game with the Oakland A's. After the transactions, the Royals have 38 players in Major League camp.

Right-handed pitcher Michael Mariot, catcher Francisco Pena and infielder Christian Colon were all optioned to Triple-A Omaha. These transactions are in addition to three moves announced earlier in the day, when three pitchers were assigned to minor league camp.
