Royals introduce AOS Technology HotSpot for 2014 season

KANSAS CITY, MO (April 2, 2014) - The Kansas City Royals have announced a partnership with Alexander Open Systems for the new AOS Technology HotSpot, which will serve as the technology and social media headquarters at Kauffman Stadium.

The AOS Technology HotSpot, designed by Dimensional Innovations based in Overland Park, Kan., will be located behind the KIA Diamond Club on the first base side. During games, fans will be able to follow social media conversations about the Royals in real time, contribute to the conversations, charge their mobile devices, interact with MLB applications and more with 10 HP tablets. The center will also include four screens that will display fan tweets, Instagram photos, live games and more.

"We were looking for a fresh way to engage fans on our social media platforms during a visit to Kauffman Stadium," said Michael Bucek, Vice President-Marketing & Business Development. "The new HotSpot features some cutting-edge technologies that we think Royals fans will really enjoy."

Fans will be able to interact with the Royals social media team during games as they monitor and post content from the command center. To connect with the Royals social media channels, fans can visit www.royals.com/connect
