CLEVELAND -- Reliever Cory Wade was released on Wednesday by the Royals' Triple-A club at Omaha.

Wade, who was in Major League Spring Training with Kansas City, had no record and a 6.57 ERA in seven relief appearances for the Storm Chasers. He gave up 17 hits including two homers in 12 1/3 innings.

Wade pitched two years each in the Majors for the Dodgers and the Yankees, compiling an 11-6 record and 3.65 ERA in 161 relief outings.
