The Naturals lost in 10 innings for a second straight night, this time at home vs. their in-state rivals. Juan Graterol's two-run double gave Northwest Arkansas a 2-0 lead in the fourth. Alex Yarbrough's triple tied the game at 2-2 in the eighth, with the Travelers plating two more in the 10th. The late runs spoiled a strong start from Tim Melville (6.1 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 6 SO).

Wilmington rallied with three in the eighth to win the first-half finale. Bubba Starling's sac fly tied the game at 2-2, with Hunter Dozier's double providing the go-ahead run. Starling is ranked seventh among Royals prospects by MLB.com, with Dozier sixth. Mark Donato added two hits and an RBI. Glenn Sparkman struck out three while holding Carolina to a run on two hits and a walk over 5.0 innings and Mark Peterson posted his league-leading 13th save. Wilmington hosts the California League/Carolina League All-Star Game on Tuesday.
