Diamond of Dreams set for June 26

KANSAS CITY, MO (June 17, 2014) - Royals Charities has announced that Diamond of Dreams: Taking the Field for The University of Kansas Hospital will take place on the field at Kauffman Stadium on Thursday, June 26. This year's fundraiser, set to begin at 7 p.m., will benefit Royals Charities and The University of Kansas Hospital's Neonatal Medical Home.

Diamond of Dreams will feature appearances from current and former Royals, as well as live entertainment from the Michael Beers Band. Emmy Award-winning news anchor Christa Dubill from 41 Action News will emcee the event.

In addition, the event will include a fabulous food and drink menu from Kansas City favorites ARAMARK, Barrel 31, Blanc Burgers + Bottles, Coal Vines, Cupcake A La Mode, Fiorella's Jack Stack Barbecue, La Bodega, McCormick & Schmick's, Parisi Artisan Coffee, Seasons 52, Tippin's Gourmet Pies and Zocalo. 

The fundraiser will also feature the Teva Silent Auction and an opportunity to win a Rolex watch courtesy of TIVOL. The evening's grand finale will be a spectacular fireworks show.

Prior to the on-field event, Royals Charities will host the Tiffany & Co. and The Capital Grille VIP Party beginning at 5:30 p.m. The party will include cuisine provided by The Capital Grille and an exclusive Tiffany & Co. experience. A limited number of tickets for the VIP Party are available for $250 per person.

The Neonatal Medical Home offers family-centered, long-term primary care dedicated exclusively to premature babies and those born with complex medical conditions. This unique, all-inclusive care is provided in an outpatient clinic located at the hospital. A highly specialized, multidisciplinary team uses a proactive approach to provide compassionate care and coordinated services to these patients - from birth through age five - and their families.
