KANSAS CITY -- The Royals' streak of successful instant replay challenges ended at five in the first inning on Tuesday night.

The Dodgers' Justin Turner was at third base after a triple and one out when Yasiel Puig beat out a roller to third baseman Danny Valencia. Royals manager Ned Yost challenged umpire Brian Knight's safe call at first base, but the Replay Operations Center in New York ruled the call stands.

Turner remained at third on the play but later scored on Adrian Gonzalez's forceout.
