The Naturals were blanked on the road as they returned to action after Tuesday's Texas League All-Star Game. Jason Adam turned in a solid start, allowing one run, three hits and three walks while striking out five over six innings. The Kansas native is ranked eighth among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Northwest Arkansas outhit Midland, 10-8, with the RockHounds scoring seven times in the eighth inning. Angel Franco led the Naturals with three hits.

Wilmington lost a back-and-forth slugfest at home. The Rocks built a three-run lead in the first, including a two-run homer from Cody Stubbs, who has gone deep three times over the last two days. Lynchburg responded with seven in the second, with Wilmington scoring the next four to knot the score at 7. The Hillcats plated four late runs in the 11-7 final. Michael Antonio recorded 10 total bases as he doubled three times and hit his second homer in as many games. He drove in two and scored a pair, with the three doubles one shy of a club record. Jared Schlehuber added two hits, including a two-run homer. John Walter posted three scoreless innings of relief, striking out five.

The Chukars lost a second straight in Utah. Starter Mike Jeffreys allowed three runs, six hits and three walks over five innings. Ryan O'Hearn was 2-for-4 with an RBI. The 2014 eighth-round pick is batting .391 (9-for-23). DonAndre Clark added a single and a run.

The B-Royals lost their home opener to the Twins, who scored all eight runs from the sixth inning on. Niklas Stephenson turned in five shutout innings for Burlington, striking out two and scattering three hits. Ryan Dale, Marten Gasparini and Logan Moon recorded hits for the Royals. Gasparini is batting .318 (7-for-22). He's ranked 20th among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Twins first-round pick Nick Gordon hit his first professional home run. He's the son of former Royal Tom Gordon and the brother of Dee, who played in KC for the Dodgers on Wednesday.
