Yankees-Royals rainout now set for Aug. 25

KANSAS CITY -- Although announced earlier, the rained-out Yankees-Royals game of June 9 has been officially rescheduled for 6:10 p.m. CT on Monday, Aug. 25, at Kauffman Stadium.

There will be a pregame ceremony in which retiring Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter will be presented a $10,000 check for his Turn 2 Foundation.

Tickets for June 9 will be honored for the game. Fans unable to attend that game also can redeem tickets for any of the other remaining 2014 games.
