Omaha settled for a 2-2 split at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. John Lamb struck out a pair while allowing four runs, eight hits and three walks over 3.0 innings. Whit Merrifield continued his hot hitting, going 4-for-4 with a double and two runs. It was a second straight four-hit game for Merrifield, who is batting .419 (31-for-74) since his promotion to Triple-A. Johnny Giavotella drove in two runs and Paulo Orlando had two hits, boosting his average to .326.

Lane Adams capped a big night with a go-ahead triple in the eighth, scoring Justin Trapp. Adams drove in five runs, including a three-run homer in the third. He was 3-for-4, finishing a double away from the cycle. The outfielder has seven home runs over his last 11 games. Trapp had two hits and two runs, as did Juan Graterol. The bullpen posted 5.0 scoreless frames, with Scott Alexander (2.0 IP) the winner.

The Blue Rocks lost by a 4-2 score for a second straight day. Futures Game selection Christian Binford pitched well in defeat, holding Salem to two runs on five hits over 6.0 innings. The 11th-ranked Royals prospect fanned seven without a walk, bringing his season total to 92 K's against 11 walks over 82.2 innings. The righty has a 2.40 ERA (22 ER), which is second in the league. Jack Lopez reached base five times, going 2-for-2 with three walks and a run.

The Legends joined Kansas City with a walk-off win on Sunday thanks to a two-out, two-run homer in the ninth from Mauricio Ramos. Alfred Escalera added an RBI double. Jake Junis (5.2 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 SO) made the start, with Kevin Perez striking out seven over 3.1 scoreless innings in relief.

Burlington plated six in the first en route to an 11-0 win. Five players scored two runs apiece, including Cristian Cano, who drove in three. Joshua Banuelos and Ryan Dale both drove in a pair. Starter Foster Griffin tossed 2.0 perfect innings. The 18-year old was KC's second pick in the first round this month (28th overall).
