Second baseman Omar Infante was scratched from the Royals' starting lineup on Friday night because of tightness in his lower back. Infante was on the disabled list from May 7-26 with an inflamed lower back, but he had played all but one game since then.

Christian Colon, called up from Triple-A Omaha, got his first Major League starting assignment as Infante's replacement against the Indians.

Colon got his first big league hit, a triple to center field, in the third inning off Josh Tomlin and scored his first run on Cain's single. Colon was 0-for-2 in his only other game.
