KANSAS CITY, MO (July 25, 2014) -- The Kansas City Royals would like to remind fans of the construction scheduled to take place across the southern part of the Kansas City metro on Interstate 435 as they leave Kauffman Stadium on Saturday night. Fans should expect delays and are encouraged to plan to use an alternate route.
Planned construction at the Roe Avenue/Nall Avenue exit will cause delays on westbound I-435 on Saturday night. Lane closures will begin at 8 p.m., and the highway will be completely closed by 10 p.m. Traffic will be detoured north on Roe Avenue, west on 103rd Street and south on Nall Avenue, where it will rejoin westbound I-435. The highway is scheduled to reopen at 10 a.m. Sunday.
The Royals will take on the Cleveland Indians in the third game of a four-game series on Saturday evening. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10 p.m. The Royals will also be celebrating Faith and Family Night presented by Hobby Lobby. The postgame festivities include appearances by select Royals personnel and Scott Dawson of Safe at Home, as well as a concert by contemporary Christian musician Matthew West.
Fans can visit www.ksdot.org/bureaus/kcMetro/laneclose.asp for additional information on the planned construction project or www.royals.com/faith for details on the Faith and Family Night event.
