Omaha Storm Chasers (64-57)

Johnny Giavotella's heroics led Omaha to a road win. He entered the game as a pinch-hitter in the ninth, delivering a game-tying single, and followed with a go-ahead homer in the 12th. Whit Merrifield was 3-for-5 with two doubles, a walk and a run. Casey Coleman (4.0 IP, 2 H, 0 ER, 3 BB, 3 SO) earned the win in relief.

NW Arkansas Naturals (24-24 second half, 49-70 overall)

WP: Matt Murray (1-4 with NW Arkansas, 1-5 overall)
HR: None

The Naturals earned a series win at home. Matt Murray held the Missions to a run on five hits and no walks over 5.0 innings, striking out three. Sixth-ranked Royals prospect Brandon Finnegan followed with 2.0 scoreless innings. He has allowed a lone run over 19.0 professional innings. Mitch Maier was 2-for-4 with three RBI and a run. He doubled home the tying run in the fourth and scored the go-ahead tally on Orlando Calixte's double. Calixte is ranked 12th among Royals prospects by MLB.com.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (22-25 second half, 55-60 overall)

Frederick 5, Wilmington 2
LP: Jonathan Dziedzic (5-7)
HR: Raul Mondesi (5)

Wilmington fell short in a bid for a three-game road sweep. The Blue Rocks were no-hit until the seventh, when top-ranked Royals prospect Raul Mondesi hit his third home run in as many days. Logan Davis added an RBI triple in the eighth. Jonathan Dziedzic allowed three runs, seven hits, a walk and two strikeouts over 4.0 innings. He remains third in the league with a 2.58 ERA. The clubs will now play three games in Wilmington.

Lexington Legends (19-31 second half, 48-72 overall)

Greenville 5, Lexington 0
LP: Luke Farrell (1-11)
HR: None

Lexington settled for a 2-2 series split with Greenville. Luke Farrell struck out nine over 6.2 innings, allowing four runs, six hits and a walk. Elier Hernandez, Chad Johnson, Frank Schwindel and Dominique Taylor recorded singles. The Legends are at Kannapolis (White Sox) tonight.

Idaho Falls Chukars (7-7 second half, 27-25 overall)

LP: Sam Lewis (2-1)
HR: None

Idaho Falls lost in 11 innings, snapping a four-game winning streak. Brandon Downes recorded two hits and three runs while boosting his average to .349 (37-for-106). Ryan O'Hearn added two hits and two RBI, lifting his average to .397. Wander Franco was 3-for-4 with an RBI and a run. He's batting .350 (41-for-117).

Burlington Royals (20-28)

Greeneville 6, Burlington 0
LP: Colin Rodgers (0-2)
HR: None

The Royals dropped game one at Greeneville, their sixth straight loss overall. Joshua Banuelos recorded two hits, raising his average to .305 (43-for-141). Corey Ray tossed 5.2 innings in relief, allowing two runs, five hits and a walk with three strikeouts.
