KANSAS CITY -- With 42 games remaining and the Royals in first place in the American League Central, Kansas City will be distributing information via email to season-ticket holders regarding possible 2014 postseason tickets.
Completion of seat assignments, invoice payments and ticket distribution in September is a requirement to reserve potential playoff tickets. Season-ticket holders will receive priority over the general public.
At the behest of Major League Baseball, tickets for all possible 2014 postseason tickets, tiebreaking games included, will be in the postseason packages available to season-ticket holders.
If the Royals are unable to qualify for the playoffs, or if they make the playoffs but all games aren't played, any postseason credits used would carry over to the 2015 season-ticket package.
The announcement comes after the Royals beat the Athletics, 7-3, on Thursday for their 10th win in 11 games. Kansas City leads the Tigers by a half game in the AL Central and has the fourth-best record in the AL.
Season-ticket holders can direct questions regarding the 2014 postseason invoice to the Royals' Ticket Services Department at (816) 504-4040, option 3, or at firstname.lastname@example.org.
