Keiser, Oates top trainers in Royals' pipeline

MINNEAPOLIS -- Mark Keiser of Class A Lexington and Robbie Oates of Rookie Idaho Falls in the Kansas City organization have been named athletic trainers of the year in their respective leagues.

Keiser, who attended Ohio University and East Carolina University, won the award for the second straight year in the South Atlantic League. Oates, who attended Wilmington (Ohio) College, won his first Pioneer League award.

Both are eligible for the 2014 Minor League Athletic Trainer of the Year.
