Omaha Storm Chasers (67-60)

Brian Bocock's two-run homer in the eighth lifted Omaha to an opening win and first place in the division. Francisco Pena drove in Omaha's first run with a sacrifice fly. Buddy Baumann tossed five shutout stanzas, striking out nine while allowing just two hits and a walk. Chris Dwyer earned a relief win, holding the 51s scoreless over 2 1/3 innings.

NW Arkansas Naturals (26-27 second half, 51-73 overall)

San Antonio 2, NW Arkansas 1

HR: None

The Naturals were held to three hits in a narrow loss at San Antonio. Mitch Maier was 2-for-4 plus a run scored and an outfield assist. Micah Gibbs added a single. Matt Murray scattered two runs and seven hits over six innings, striking out four without a walk. Sixth-ranked Royals prospect Brandon Finnegan posted two scoreless innings, lowering his combined ERA at Wilmington and Northwest Arkansas to 0.79 (2 ER in 22 2/3 IP).

Wilmington Blue Rocks (26-26 second half, 59-61 overall)

Wilmington 6, Winston-Salem 5 (10 innings)

HR: Cam Gallagher (3)

Wilmington moved to 2-0 in the series as Cody Stubbs singled home Raul Mondesi in the 10th. The Blue Rocks built a 4-0 lead in the first, including Cam Gallagher's three-run homer. Mondesi doubled, tripled, drove in a run and scored twice. He is ranked first among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Jonathan Dziedzic fanned five and walked none, holding the Dash to two runs over six innings. Zeb Sneed was the winning pitcher for a second straight night.

Lexington Legends (20-36 second half, 49-77 overall)

West Virginia 13, Lexington 3
LP: Matt Tenuta (5-10)
HR: None

Lexington dropped to 1-2 in a four-game set as West Virginia scored 12 runs over the final four frames. Dominique Taylor had three hits, an RBI and a run. He's batting .425 (17-for-40) over his last 10 games. Kenny Diekroeger, Carlos Garcia and Elier Hernandez had two hits apiece, with Garcia and Hernandez each scoring a run. Hernandez is ranked 16th among Royals prospects by MLB.com.

Idaho Falls Chukars (10-9 second half, 30-27 overall)

HR: Brandon Downes (2), Brawlun Gomez (3)

Idaho Falls 6, Missoula 2 (Game Two - Seven Innings)
WP: Sam Lewis (3-1)
HR: Brandon Downes (3), Corey Toups (2)

Brandon Downes hit leadoff homers in both games as the Chukars split a doubleheader in Montana. Brawlun Gomez added a solo homer in the fifth inning of game one. Jake Newberry went the distance in defeat, striking out seven while allowing three runs and seven hits over six innings. The Chukars scored two runs in the first, second and third inning in game two. Downes and Corey Toups hit back-to-back home runs. Luis Valenzuela had two hits, two runs and an RBI. Matthew Strahm tossed three scoreless innings, striking out four with one walk. Sam Lewis struck out six over the final 2 1/3 innings, picking up the win.

Burlington Royals (22-33)

Danville 4, Burlington 2
LP: Dylan Sons (1-2)
HR: None

The Royals were swept in a five-game set as Danville rallied with three in the eighth. Corey Ray struck out seven through 5.0 innings, holding Danville to a run, two hits and no walks. Eight Royals collected hits. Manny Olloque was 2-for-4 with a run. Burlington opens a six-game homestand tonight vs. Bluefield (Blue Bays).
