Omaha Storm Chasers (68-60)

HR: Carlos Peguero 2 (23, 24)

Carlos Peguero and Liam Hendriks led Omaha to a second straight win over Las Vegas. Peguero homered twice and drove in three runs. Hendriks held the 51s to four hits and a walk while striking out six over 7.0 innings. Scott Alexander worked the final 2.0 frames.

NW Arkansas Naturals (26-28 second half, 51-74 overall)

San Antonio 6, NW Arkansas 3 (13 innings)
LP: Angel Baez (1-5)
HR: None

Northwest Arkansas lost a 13-inning marathon on a three-run homer by Alex Dickerson. Brian Fletcher gave the Naturals a short-lived 3-2 lead with a go-ahead single in the 12th. Jorge Bonifacio recorded four hits and a run. He is ranked seventh among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Sugar Ray Marimon scattered five hits, two walks and two strikeouts over 5.0 innings in his first outing since coming off a rehab stint with Idaho Falls.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (26-27 second half, 59-62 overall)

LP: Luis Santos (3-4 with Wilmington, 7-5 overall)
HR: None

Wilmington fell short in a bid for a three-game sweep. Winston-Salem's Courtney Hawkins had the game's big hit, a three-run homer off of Luis Santos (7.0 IP, 8 H, 4 ER, 0 BB, 4 SO). Fred Ford's infield single in the fifth scored Michael Antonio for the lone Wilmington run. Antonio led the Blue Rocks with two hits. The Blue Rocks have today off before beginning a series at Myrtle Beach (Rangers).

Lexington Legends (21-36 second half, 50-77 overall)

Lexington 8, West Virginia 1
WP: Alec Mills (2-1 with Lexington, 4-3 overall)
SV: Kevin Perez (3)
HR: Elier Hernandez (8), Mauricio Ramos (7)

Lexington earned a 2-2 split at home. Alec Mills (5.0 IP, 5 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 7 SO) lowered his ERA with the Legends to 1.09. Kevin Perez tossed 4.0 scoreless innings for the save. Elier Hernandez and Mauricio Ramos each hit a two-run homer. Hernandez is ranked 16th among Royals prospects by MLB.com. Humberto Arteaga added three hits and an RBI.

Idaho Falls Chukars (11-9 second half, 31-27 overall)

Idaho Falls 4, Missoula 1
WP: Torey Deshazier (4-1)
SV: Jon Fitzsimmons (3)
HR: Ryan O'Hearn (10), Robert Pehl (3)

Ryan O'Hearn and Robert Pehl each hit a two-run homer as the Chukars moved to 2-1 at Missoula. 2012 first-round pick and second-ranked Royals prospect Kyle Zimmer made his 2014 debut (0.1 IP, 1 H, 1 BB). Torey Deshazier fanned 11 over 5.2 scoreless innings, allowing two hits and three walks in a relief win.

Burlington Royals (32-33)

Burlington 3, Bluefield 1
WP: Niklas Stephenson (3-3)
SV: Estarlin Cordero (4)
HR: None

The Royals earned an opening win behind a strong outing from Niklas Stephenson. The righty struck out seven, holding Bluefield to an unearned run and five hits over 7.1 innings. Jose Martinez was 3-for-4 with a run scored.
