Royals host no fee sale on Thursday

The Kansas City Royals will host a special no fee sale on Thursday, August 21. During the one-day sale, all fees associated with regular single-game ticket purchases made online at or by phone for all remaining 2014 home games will be waived.

The promotion allows fans to secure tickets without any additional fees for the final two homestands of the year, which feature exciting games including New York Yankees captain Derek Jeter's last trip to Kauffman Stadium (August 25) and a four-game weekend series against the Boston Red Sox (September 11-14). Fans can also take advantage of the no fee sale to purchase tickets to see the Royals continue a push for the 2014 Postseason with games against American League Central opponents, highlighted by a three-game home series against the Detroit Tigers, September 19-21, to finish the home portion of the regular season.

The upcoming 10-game homestand is packed with special events and promotions such as Irish Heritage Night (August 27), Buck Night and the final Summer Fireworks show of the season (August 29), and Retro Night and a Mr. Royal bobblehead giveaway (August 30). The Royals will close the month of August by hosting KU Night and a Family FunDay Sunday during a special Sunday night game against the Cleveland Indians on August 31. First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m.

September highlights include special events such as Beers of The K (September 12), the final Buck Night of the season and Futures Night (September 19), and Fan Appreciation Night featuring a Royals scarf giveaway (September 20).
