Attended La Jolla High School and played three years of collegiate baseball at the University of San Francisco...Hit .368 with 10 2B, 7 3B, 7 HR and 31 RBI for the Dons as a junior during the 2014 season (.461 on-base pct., 21 SB)...Two-time All-West Coast Conference member...Named a 2014 preseason All-American selection by Louisville Slugger, Baseball America and Perfect Game USA and was one of 30 finalists for the Golden Spikes Award...Named All-WCC during his sophomore season in 2013, hitting .320 with 7 home runs, 37 RBI and 19 stolen bases...Entering the draft he was rated the 14th-best prospect and best athlete in the country according to Baseball America...Ranked the tenth-best prospect in the 2014 MLB Draft by MLB.com and 12th according to Keith Law (ESPN) ...His brother, Kyle, was the Kansas City Royals' first round pick in the 2012 June Draft and is top prospect in their system...2018 Tribe Fest participant.
